A breathtaking Caribbean estate that encompasses six homes has finally hit the market after over a decade of construction.

Nestled in the beautiful British Virgin Islands, the seven-bedroom, 7.5 bathroom estate, dubbed Wings, is now up for sale for a whopping $32.5million – earning its title as the most expensive home listing on the island of Virgin Gorda.

From its elevated hilltop position, tucked in the opulent Estate Neighborhood of the island’s resort community, the 11-acre property boasts unique panoramic 180-degree ocean views.

Designed to take advantage of the immaculate scenery, breeze and one-of-a-kind topography, the novel estate includes 9,513 square-feet ‘under air’ and another 14,159 square-feet dedicated to ‘open air living’.

The tropical villa includes six lavish bedroom suites, also called pods, each equipped with its own plunge pool, outdoor shower, ensuite bathroom, sitting area and kitchenette.

Inspired by birds, all of Wings’ pods were cleverly named, Blue Heron, Kingfisher, Mourning Dove, Osprey, Pelican, and Sandpiper, make up six of the properties seven suites.

Inside, each pod is decorated with a clean and contemporary aesthetic, constructed with travertine and limestone, white walls, a neutral color palette, and feathery curtains.

Outfitted with state-of-the-art appliances and technology, each home is primed for modern living but still exudes a sense of place, which during the day, is filled with intense Caribbean sun.

William and Marilyn Crawford, are the magnificent estate’s sellers. The Crawford’s are third-generation owners of an international furniture manufacturing company, Steelcase.

The family spent 11 years completing the impressive Caribbean accommodation.

The decade-long project was designed by Miami-based architect Doug Kulig of OMBI. Kulig is best known for some of his other impressive projects like the luxury, highly sought-after hotel, Le Royal Mansour, in Morocco.

The project’s landscaping was also uniquely designed by an outstanding professional, Raymond Jungles, a renowned landscape architect.

Known for his ‘one-of-a-kind designs’ that typically feature an untamed, naturalistic aesthetic, Jungles aimed to use the spectacular landscape to pay homage to the local environment.

Each individual villa is surrounded by lush and blooming florals, swaying palms and native leafy plants, courtesy of Jungles privacy-oriented design.
