COVID-19 Causes Oil Nut Bay to Temporarily Suspend Public Operations to Tourists After BVI Government Implements Extensive Restrictions
In an address to the territory, on March 17, 2020, the Premier of the Virgin Islands, Andrew A. Fahie, announced that Cabinet endorsed entry into the British Virgin Islands by sea or air be prohibited with effect from Thursday, March 19, 2020 for all passengers who are not nationals, Belongers, Work Permit Holders or persons ordinarily resident in the Territory, or their dependents [Watch speech HERE]. Oil Nut Bay is in full support of the Government’s action to safeguard the BVI against COVID-19.
As a direct result of this message and in an effort to protect the staff and keep Oil Nut Bay virus free, we will temporarily suspend all operations at Oil Nut Bay as Thursday, March, 19, 2020.
The North Sound Foundation, as an extension of Oil Nut Bay, will be taking a lead role in providing support to the children and families of Virgin Gorda as they go through these challenging times.
