Clyde Lettsome

Clyde Lettsome

Vice President of Governmental & Community Affairs & Human Resources

Clyde is responsible for governmental and community relations. He joined us after 28 years with the local government, where he worked various positions including all Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Welfare and Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour. Clyde is also Director for the North Sound Foundation in charge of community support and ongoing relief efforts.

Jennifer Merriman

Vice President & Legal Counsel

Jennifer has served as Vice President and General Counsel since 2009. She is involved in the daily and long-term business operations, is directly responsible for all legal matters and has successfully negotiated and closed over $300 million of real estate sales. Jennifer currently resides in Virgin Gorda with her husband, Andrew, their mischievous Goldendoodle, Norman, and their daughter, Stella, the beloved granddaughter of Pamela and David V. Johnson.

Emily Oakes

Vice President of Business

Emily is responsible for the resort operations and business management of Oil Nut Bay.  She first joined the team in 2012 and developed many of the foundational programs for the community and resort that are in place today. Originally from Napa Valley, California, Emily spent the first part of her career in the wine industry and brings over two decades of experience in luxury brand and hospitality management.

Mark Moore

Vice President of
Purchasing & Logistics

Mark brings with him over 20 years experience with Victor International. He oversees purchasing, logistics and development as well as leads the architectural review boards for all Victor International properties. Mark has worked for David V. Johnson for almost thirty years and is accompanied by his wife, Sarah, who acts as Executive Assistant to the Chairman.

Vinod Biscette

Director of Technology Services

Vinod nurtures our technological changes as the team’s Director of Technology Services. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Vinod brings a mature approach to the dynamic technology needs of this community and our team. His main focus is to source and implement technology solutions that elevate our team’s service delivery and service excellence.

Dornelle Hazel

Resort Operations Manager

Dornelle leads the owner and guest-facing departments of Food & Beverage, Concierge, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Activities, Wellness and Marine. Born and raised in the BVI, Dornelle received his Hospitality Management degree from Cornell University and has over 8 years of hospitality experience in various roles, most recently as the Assistant General Manager at Scrub Island. His experience has equipped him with strong management and operational skills which will be critical as we expand and elevate ONB services and experiences.

Katherine Somoza

Villa Director

Katherine brings over two decades of luxury hospitality and property management experience to Oil Nut Bay.  She was most recently the Estate Manager at Moskito Island, but has also held positions at Christophe Harbour, Valley Trunk Estate, Little Dix Bay and Carlisle Bay Resort.  In her role at ONB she leads the expansion of the Property Management team and is the key point of contact to home owners for all their property related needs. 

Sarah Moore

Executive Assistant

Sarah has worked with ONB’s Chairman David V. Johnson for over 23 years, 15 of those years as his Executive Assistant. She first started working in the stables to care for and ride the horses and then went on to become the manager of the horse operations.  Sarah then branched into property/estate management and thereafter started at the corporate office as Mr. J’s Assistant. Sarah is married to Mark Moore. They have two boys and two dogs and have lived in the BVI for 9 years. She prefers to be outside in the gardens than inside.  

Miguel Somoza

Executive Chef

Miguel is a culinary maestro with a flair for creating extraordinary cuisine using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Originally from Spain, Miguel started his career over 20 years ago in Michelin Star restaurants across Europe and catering for the British Royal Family, before leading pastry and culinary programs at exclusive properties such as Babington House, Carlisle Bay, Christophe Harbour, Little Dix Bay and most recently Necker and Moskito Islands.  At Oil Nut Bay he will bring a fresh perspective and approach as we take our dining experiences and community programming to new heights.

Jania Drakes

Reservations and Leisure Sales Manager

Jania is originally from Barbados but grew up in Miami and New York. She obtained a master’s degree in Tourism Studies with a Concentration in Marketing. She brings almost 13 years of managerial experience working in Guest Relations, Front Office, Sales and Events at 5 star resorts in the Caribbean to her most recent post as Reservations Manager at Oil Nut Bay. Jania is a foodie at heart and enjoys traveling, art, dancing, music and soccer.

Danielle King

GUEST SERVICES MANAGER

Danielle originally hails from Barbados, but spent time in Barcelona where she received her masters degree from EADA Business School.  She has spent the last 12 years honing her hospitality skills at luxury properties such as Sandy Lane Hotel, Gems of Barbados and the Pulitzer Hotel in Barcelona.  At Oil Nut Bay, Danielle will lead the Concierge and Front Desk teams, where her passion for creating memorable experiences will be utilized to elevate owner and guest services.

 Quinton Maclear

Food and Beverage Manager

Quinton oversees the operations of the Beach Club, Nova, in villa dining, private chef services and events. His team ensures that the establishments run smoothly and efficiently. Some of his key duties include creating menus, managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring that all food and beverage offerings meet quality and safety standards.

 Kevin Benjamin

Housekeeping SUPERVISOR

Kevin began his career with Victor International as a Houseman at former sister property, Biras Creek in 2007, and has been an integral part of the team ever since. His extracurricular passion? Music! When he’s not leading his accomplished team to ensure all villas and suites are spotless, he can likely be found in DJ Flava-mode spinning some Socca tunes down at Nova.
