The Developer
David V. Johnson
The inspiration for Oil Nut Bay began as a visionary idea in the mind of Victor International Corporation Chairman, David V. Johnson. Johnson's passion to create the most unique island retreat in the Caribbean has come to life with meticulous attention to detail and environmental integrity.
Extending across 300 acres (121.4 hectares) on a secluded peninsula at the tip of Virgin Gorda, Oil Nut Bay features dramatically beautiful landscape, infinite amenities and world-class architecture. Born from the same environmentally-sound development philosophy of Johnson's previous communities, Oil Nut Bay and North Sound Yacht Club are already receiving international recognition, as discussed in this Wall Street Journal article. Once named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst and Young, Johnson was recently featured in Worth Magazine.
In the BVI, Johnson is committed to supporting and giving back to the local community through a variety of philanthropic efforts. Johnson's steadfast belief to be a caretaker for the natural beauty of the land is foundation of Victor International Communities. That commitment is also being demonstrated through the Bay Harbor Foundation and the Community Stewardship Organization (CSO) at Oil Nut Bay. The CSO's mission is to preserve and protect the environmental integrity of Oil Nut Bay. Additionally, the organization will provide educational opportunities for environmental learning to promote and sustain the ecology of Oil Nut Bay.
